It is with a mixture of sadness and joy that we report the passing of the CRCA’s Synodical Administrator, Rob Vander Noord. Rob passed away last night (Tuesday 28 July, 2009) after a relatively short illness.

Our reaction is one of sadness because we know that family and friends will greatly miss this godly man, and the CRCA as a denomination has benefited greatly from his labours over the years.
At the same time, though, we know that Rob looked to the Lord for his comfort and joy. He is in a better place now. The struggle that we all have with sin, half hearted devotion and a lack of appreciation for what the Lord has done – that struggle is over for Rob. He is in glory, with His Lord and over that fact, we rejoice.
The CRCA Publications Committee – together with all of the Christian Reformed Churches of Australia – expresses its love and concern to Rob’s family.
