About the Opportunity

CRCA now has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Ministry Development Coordinator to partner with ministers and ministry leaders across the denomination in God’s mission.

Reporting to the TRAIN workgroup, you will collaborate with pastors, elders and other ministry leaders in the growth & development of our established churches and gospel workers. You will also coordinate the planting of new churches as well as identifying and developing new gospel workers.

This is a well-established role and you will be taking over from our current MDC, who is retiring in December 2022. Ideal start date is September 2022.

You will be required to maintain a home office and you will be required to travel throughout Australia. You will live on the Eastern Seaboard of Australia, preferably in Melbourne.

About You

You will need to be a person who is grounded in Christ’s love, led by the Spirit and shaped by prayer, and so lead with an understanding and discernment of God’s will in the varied contexts in which we live and minister.

Ideally You will have the following Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications:
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in leadership and/or management roles within local church ministry
  • Thorough understanding of strategy development
  • Experience in coaching, mentoring, and training
  • Experience in developing, collating, and sourcing training material
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting
  • Solid understanding of MS Office and video conferencing software
  • Understanding of or capacity to learn website development software
  • Good knowledge of, and commitment to, the teaching of Scripture and the Reformed confessions, the life and polity of the CRCA.
  • Be willing to sign the ‘Form of Subscription’ of the CRCA
  • Minimum B.Th., M.Div., or similar from a theological college. Post Graduate Study an advantage
  • Be a member (or be willing to become a member) of the CRCA.
  • Hold a valid Blue Card (or state equivalent working with children card) or ability to acquire one
  • Permanent work rights in Australia with no restrictions
