Table of contents

On Saturday a dedicated team of people attended Wamberal CRC to complete the packing of the containers. This was a continuation of many days of packing in the few weeks prior. I am now pleased to confirm that both containers are packed and ready to go. We are still waiting on one order of metal bracing and bolts which should arrive tomorrow morning. The containers will then be picked up in the next few days and sent to Honiara ready for the arrival of our teams in April.

 It was a blessing to see the generosity and answer to prayers that we have received. We got to physically handle the items that are so important to our project at the Katova High School. Some of these items include;

  • Tools – Retail value of around $50K which were generously supplied by Sydney Tools at nearly a 50% discount
  • Roof Sheeting – Retail value of around $65K which were generously donated by Bluescope and Lysaght
  • Wall sheets – Retail value of around $60K which were generously supplied by Weathertex with a nearly a 60% discount.
  • Floor Sheeting – Retail Value in excess of $40K which were generously supplied by Dahlsens Hardware with nearly a 50% discount
  • Classroom furniture – 160 sets of tables and chairs and also staff furniture valued at $65K generously supplied by BFX furniture with nearly a 70% discount.
  • Plumbing Equipment for school water supply – Around $25K of material supplied free of charge courtesy of Mr Drains.
  • Bibles – Over 1500 bibles with versions for young children and adults  generously supplied by the Bible League and members of the CRCA
  • Medical Supplies – Several Thousand Dollars of medical supplies generously donated by Pokolbin Pharmacy and several other health providers.

This is just a summary of some of the blessings we have received. Many people have worked together across the country and the CRC Denomination to achieve these outcomes. Many prayers have been prayed….and answered.

 In spite of the generosity we have received, we do still have a budget shortfall. If you have the opportunity to assist with a contribution towards this project then please contact the Project Coordinator Rod Peet whose details are below. As the Katova High School is a registered DGR with the Australian Tax Office, any donations are tax deductable.

 To God be the glory!
